Bleaching
If your teeth are discolored due to coffee, tea, wine, age or are just not white enough for that bright smile you wish for, you can have a brighter, more youthful smile in about 1 hour! Dr. Weintraub’s special ZOOM equipment and materials will have you walk out of the office that day with a brighter whiter smile!
Bonding
Many people have unsightly chipped teeth that need to be repaired. The tooth is cleaned and etched, and then a resin is applied with a special light gun to harden the material. Spaces between teeth can also be closed using this technique.
Porcelain Laminate Veneers or Laminates
This is one of the most dramatic cosmetic dentistry makeovers. Porcelain veneers can change the shape, color, spacing, or even in some cases, replace orthodontics to give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of having. This is a very conservative procedure.
First the teeth are prepared by shaving a small amount of tooth structure to create a place for the veneer. A model is made and the laminates are created in the lab. At the next visit, the laminates are bonded on to the teeth with a special light gun. You’re ready for your new smile!
Cosmetic Dental Crowns
Sometimes a tooth is weakened by decay and lack of tooth structure. At this point you and the doctor will choose the best type of crown for the situation. Materials for crowns vary. Some have metal substrates while others have ceramic substrates. The substrate is underneath the ceramic material and offers different properties to the crown. More tooth structure must be removed to create the space needed for the crowns. Dr. Robert Weintraub chooses the ceramic tooth color that best matches your own tooth and your custom tooth is created in the lab. At your next visit the tooth or teeth are inserted.
Implants
Often Dr. Weintraub is able to avoid partials, full dentures, and bridges with dental implants. If you have good jaw bone structure and healthy gums, implants may be the best solution for missing teeth. Unlike dentures, the implant is permanently placed in the bone. The body’s own healing process will grow new bone around the implant making it permanent. The result is a sturdy anchor for natural looking teeth. Implants can also be used to secure retention of dentures.

After years, silver fillings or amalgams, crack, discolor or leak allowing further decay to invade the tooth structure. Dr. Robert A. Weintraub never uses “silver” fillings. He replaces decayed or broken tooth structure with a composite natural tooth colored material. No more unsightly grey or black fillings!
