Composite tooth fillings are strong and durable and blend invisibly into your smile.
Do You Need an Emergency Tooth Filling?

Do you have a toothache? Have you noticed a dark spot on one of your teeth? Both could be signs of a cavity that requires prompt treatment.
At Morris Plains Center for Dentistry, Dr. Bagley always tries to offer the most conservative treatment solutions; composite resin fillings are an excellent example. In the past, silver amalgam was widely used; today, composite resin allows us to preserve more tooth structure without creating a dark spot in your smile.
Composite resin is a tooth-colored blend of plastic and fine glass particles. This combination gives the material a translucent appearance similar to tooth enamel and offers numerous advantages over silver fillings:
Getting a tooth filled with Dr. Bagley is a comfortable, efficient process that we can complete in one visit:

This modern filling technique significantly reduces your time in the chair while creating stronger, longer-lasting restorations. With proper home care and regular checkups, your composite fillings can last many years.
Dental bonding is an aesthetic treatment that uses composite resin to address various aesthetic issues, including:

Like a filling, tooth bonding involves applying and artfully shaping the composite resin material to the desired shape and appearance. Dr. Bagley’s attention to detail and artistic eye ensure natural-looking results that enhance your smile.
Our dental team is committed to excellence in every treatment we provide, whether a simple filling or a full smile makeover. If you have a cavity, need a tooth filling, or are interested in composite bonding, please call our Morris Plains dental office at (973) 644-0088 to arrange an appointment.
We welcome patients from Morris Plains, Parsippany-Troy Hills, Denville, Randolph, Morristown, and surrounding communities to experience our patient-centered approach to dental care.

Early cavities often have no symptoms, so regular dental checkups at Morris Plains Center for Dentistry are crucial. Dr. Bagley can detect cavities in their earliest stages before they cause discomfort or require extensive treatment.
If you experience any of these symptoms, you may have a cavity that needs attention:
Cavities form when bacteria in your mouth convert sugars and carbohydrates into acids that attack your tooth enamel. This process, called demineralization, gradually breaks down the hard outer layer of your teeth, creating small holes that can eventually reach the softer inner layers.
Several factors contribute to cavity development:
