When a deep cavity or injury reaches the soft inner part of a baby tooth, it can cause pain and infection. Pulp therapy, often called a baby root canal, treats the inside of the tooth so it can stay in place and keep holding space for the permanent tooth underneath.
At Morris Plains Center for Dentistry, Dr. Joshua Bagley provides pulp therapy for children throughout Morris Plains, Parsippany, Denville, Randolph, and Morristown. As part of our pediatric dentistry care, we keep your child comfortable and explain each step to you along the way.
Dr. Bagley earned his DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and completed a General Practice Residency at New York Medical College. He explains why pulp therapy is recommended and includes your family in each decision about your child’s care.

Dr. Bagley received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he was inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. He then completed advanced dental training as a General Practice Resident at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Before taking over at Morris Plains Center for Dentistry, he had been practicing comprehensive general dentistry in multiple private practice settings in New York and New Jersey.
Having grown up watching his father run a dental laboratory, Dr. Bagley knew from a young age that he wanted to explore the field of dentistry. He is passionate about his work and strives to provide the best quality dentistry to all his patients. He believes in the importance of educating patients, explaining treatment options in detail, and including patients in the decision-making process. Dr. Bagley tries to always keep up with the latest dental techniques and incorporate them into his practice. He is committed to providing comfortable and personalized care to all his patients and strives to treat every patient how he would like to be treated.
Dr. Bagley grew up in Queens, New York, and moved to New Jersey upon starting dental school. He currently lives in Bergenfield with his wife and three young kids. When he is not in the dental office, you can find Dr. Bagley spending time with his family, catching up with friends, and rooting for his favorite sports teams.
